EQUALS-EU project kick-off meeting

EQUALS-EU project kicked off by a Consortium meeting on 20 January 2021 that brought all 19 partners together for the first time. The meeting was convened and led by the project coordinator George Anthony Giannoumis from Oslo Metrolopolitan University, who introduced the project’s aim and scope.

The EQUALS-EU project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Science with and for Society programme. The Research Executive Agency’s policy officer presented the Consortiums’ contractual obligations and usable resources developed in the programme’s framework to support project implementation.

The meeting continued with presentations of activities that have already started. The first to take the floor was Caroline Wamala Larsson, Program Manager at the University of Stockholm and Head of the Research program at SPIDER. She presented the plan to map gender-inclusive innovation ecosystems in at least 22 European and Non-European countries. The last presentation was done by Borut Cink, Senior Project Manager at ALL DIGITAL, who presented the communication framework and initial 3-month plan that will establish internal and external communication framework of the EQUALS-EU.
